Annectdote:

Imagine for a second the flat and immense mesas of Arizona; with its intense heat and sluggish breezes. Now, in front of you stands a ladder stretching the height of the Bellagio in Las Vegas, NV; would you climb it?

This position had me climbing, not always on ladders, most often on the faces of structures, and simultaneously running diagnostic tests on the structure's integrity. I would later generate reports that reflected my findings. I was responsible for inspecting numerous structures and completed every assignment assigned to me.

I would be assigned partners, whom I often trained to do the test I ran, and also taught how to safely climb structures well beyond 100 feet tall. No injuries ever occured, and I pride myself in that. I took upon myself to brief the company's engineers on our progress on a daily basis, and adhered to OSHA regulations.

Annecdote

Working at a non-profit has without a doubt been one of the greatest opportunities I've been given. Everybody's efforts in this organization was geared to servicing a low income demographic. It was a privilege to walk in, roll up my sleeves, look around and see, that new-hire to CEO alike moved together in unison to the improvement of the general public.

Everyone in a non-profit understands what it means to move as a team, and that our successes are silent, but not unnoticed. You learn to be graceful under fire, and what the true definition of leadership is.

During my time as an Interpreter I learned quickly the importance of clear communication, and how crucial a single word can be. I interpreted medical, financial, and governmental conversations. It was a tremendous responsibility, from which I gained advanced skills of communication.
